"Glasgow", or the hen laying golden eggs
During the Film and Music Festival "Küstendorf", which ended on Monday, and which was founded by Emir Kusturica, the Piotr Subbotko film entitled "Glasgow" was awarded the Bronze Egg prize. This is the fifth award won by the short feature produced under the "30 minutes" programme, a joint initiative of the Studio Munka Polish Film Association, the Wajda Studio, the TVP and the Polish Film Institute.

Festa in Trieste - Wajda School's Birthday
The 10th anniversary of the Wajda School has reached the halfway stage. On this occasion, the International Film Festival in Trieste presents films made at the Wajda School, as well as those in whose development and production the school was involved. In the retrospective we will be able to see 18 titles: documentaries alongside short and full-length features, special screenings and meetings with guests.

French award for "Glasgow" by Piotr Subbotko
"Glasgow", directed by Piotr Subbotko received a Special Jury Prize at the International Film Festival "Tous Courts" held in Aix-en-Provence and Pays d'Aix, France. This is yet another laurel for the short story produced as part of the programme "30 minutes", a joint initiative of the Munk Studio at the Polish Filmmakers Association, the Wajda Studio, TVP Public Television and the Polish Film Institute.

GOLDEN FROG FOR "PAPARAZZI"
"Paparazzi" won the Grand Prix in the Short Documentary Films Competition at the Plus Camerimage Festival in Bydgoszcz. The Golden Frog went to cinematographers Łukasz Żal and Piotr Bernaś.

"Paparazzi", "Decrescendo" and "Bon Appetit" at ZagrebDox Festival
Three short films made by Wajda Studio were selected for the "ZagrebDox" - International Documentary Film Festival in Zagreb. "Paparazzi" by Piotr Bernaś and "Decrescendo" by Marta Minorowicz qualified for the International Competition, and Kuba Maciejko's film "Bon Appetit" was invited to the Happy Dox section.

CALL FOR EKRAN 2012 - one week left
Call for Ekran 2012 organized by Wajda Studio and Wajda School is open now. EKRAN (the Polish word for “screen”) is an international training program focusing on the creative pre-production process based on shooting practice. EKRAN focuses participants on exploring, identifying and refining the tone and visual language of film. Deadline is January 31st, 2012. Participation in EKRAN is free.
