"GLASGOW" BY PIOTR SUBBOTKO CONQUERS THE EAST

"Glasgow", directed by Piotr Subbotko, has won the Centaur Prize at the "Message To Man" Festival in St. Petersburg. This is just another laurel won in the East by the film produced as part of the "30 minutes" programme, a joint initiative of the Munk Studio at the Polish Filmmakers Association, Wajda Studio, TVP Polish Public Television and the Polish Film Institute. In July, "Glasgow" won the "Golden Apricot" award for the Best Short Film at the festival in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

Saturday, 10 September 2011 saw the last day of shooting on the set of the Irish-Polish co-production directed by Norah Mc Gettigan entitled "Sanctuary". The film features Jan Frycz, Agnieszka Żulewska, Anne-Marie Duff in the main roles.

"MOTHER" BY JAKUB PIĄTEK AWARDED AGAIN

Jakub Piątek's short entitled "Mother" has been appreciated once again. This time, the film participated in the Main Competition of the 9th International Short Film Festival "In the Palace" in Bulgarian city of Balchik, where it was awarded as the Best Documentary.

The film "North from Calabria" directed by Marcin Sauter, was bought by the Franco-German TV Arte. It will be broadcast in the "Faraway Places" slot, which features creative documentaries, and is broadcast from Monday to Friday at 17:15.

Shooting for "Out of love" has just ended

Shooting for the latest Anna Jadowska film titled ‘Z miłości [Out of Love]’ has just ended. The cast features: Marta Nieradkiewicz, Ewa Szykulska and Daniel Olbrychski. The producer of the film is Vostok8, and the co-producers: the Andrzej Wajda School, Skorpion Arte and Opus Film.
