WAJDA STUDIO DOCS GET SALES AGENTS!
Three documentaries from Wajda Studio, "Losing Sonia", "Paparazzi" and "3 Days of Freedom", have attracted sales agents who will deal with their international promotion and distribution. This is the first direct result of the festival Visions du Reel, currently under way in Switzerland, where "Losing Sonia" and "3 Days of Freedom" have their international premieres.

Festa in Trieste - Wajda School's Birthday
The 10th anniversary of the Wajda School has reached the halfway stage. On this occasion, the International Film Festival in Trieste presents films made at the Wajda School, as well as those in whose development and production the school was involved. In the retrospective we will be able to see 18 titles: documentaries alongside short and full-length features, special screenings and meetings with guests.

RECORD NUMBERS OF APPLICATIONS FOR SCRIPT PRO 2011
Record numbers of applications – as many as 245 – have been submitted to the SCRIPT PRO 2011 screenwriting competition organised by the Andrzej Wajda School and The Off Plus Camera Festival with the support of the Polish Film Institute and HBO Poland. The award ceremony will take place in April during the Off Plus Camera festival in Krakow.

"North From Calabria" in Arte
The film "North from Calabria" directed by Marcin Sauter, was bought by the Franco-German TV Arte. It will be broadcast in the "Faraway Places" slot, which features creative documentaries, and is broadcast from Monday to Friday at 17:15.

CALL FOR EKRAN 2012 - one week left
Call for Ekran 2012 organized by Wajda Studio and Wajda School is open now. EKRAN (the Polish word for “screen”) is an international training program focusing on the creative pre-production process based on shooting practice. EKRAN focuses participants on exploring, identifying and refining the tone and visual language of film. Deadline is January 31st, 2012. Participation in EKRAN is free.

SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE 31 JANUARY
The SCRIPT PRO Competition 2011 – the continuation of the Hartley-Merrill competition organised by the Andrzej Wajda School and the Off Plus Camera Festival – will receive support of the Polish Film Institute. Thanks to that the finalists of the competition will receive scholarships for the development of their scripts. Applications must be submitted by 31 January 2011.
