THE END OF THE FIRST STAGE OF
DEVELOPMENT LAB AND DOCUMENTARY COURSE

In June at the Andrzej Wajda School the first stage of the Development Lab and Documentary Course came to an end. During the last sessions, in accordance with the principle ‘from script to screen’ participants worked on their own projects and the best projects are selected and produced.

During the last sessions students of Documentary Course discussed and analyzed scenes which they had shot. Moreover they summarized their previous work. Participants of Development Lab developed their own ideas for films and had developed methods of working on them.

Development Lab has been already organised for the fifth time and the Documenatry Film Course – for the sixth time. The principle of both courses is 'from script to screen'.

Each participant proposes an idea for the film and the best projects are produced under the artistic supervision of lecturers, who provide advice and support at every stage, from the development and research to the editing and the sound postproduction.

Tutors of the Documentary Couse are Marcel Łoziński, Jacek Bławut and Vita Żelakeviciute. The Develpment Lab is led by Andrzej Wajda, Wojciech Marczewski, Edward Żebrowski, Joanna Krauze, Denijal Hasanović, Maciej Sobieszczański.

Development Lab and Documentary Course are organised by the Andrzej Wajda Foundation For Film Education and the Andrzej Wajda School and are co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
