DOCUMENTARY ABOUT ANDRZEJ WAJDA
AWARDED IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

A film produced by the Andrzej Wajda Film School and made by the Paladino Film Team ‘Andrzej Wajda: Let’s Shoot!’ received the Grand Prix at the International European Film Festival ‘Arts&Film’ in Prague. 

The jury of the Czech festival awarded the film in the ‘New Generation’ category. The filmmakers, members of the Paladino Film Team, are graduates of the Andrzej Wajda Film School: Maciej Cuske, Thierry Paladino, Marcin Sauter and Piotr Stasik. They are ones of the best documentary directors of the young generation. Their films are creative, full of humour and friendly observations with a new look at the presented reality. 

‘Andrzej Wajda: Let’s Shoot!’ was produced by the Andrzej Wajda Film School in coproduction with Polish Telecommunication. It is a portrait the director during the shooting of his most intimate movie – ‘Katyń’. The young filmmakers accompanied him on the set, in moments of concentration, tiredness and joy, during the conversations with actors and the crew. Looking at Wajda’s work routine, the viewer has a chance to see what he is like in reality – extraordinary due to his sensitivity, passion and the sense of mission. The documentary film’s premiere was held in May, at this year’s Planete Doc Review festival.
