'ON CREDIT' IN CANNES!

A Przemysław Nowakowski film 'Na kredyt [On Credit]', produced by the Andrzej Wajda School within the '30 Minutes' programme, has qualified for the Short Film Corner at this year's festival in Cannes.

'On Credit' has been admitted to this year's Short Film Festival – the 6th edition of the short films fair organised within the Cannes Film Festival. The Short Film Corner is one of the most interesting and most important trade events for filmmakers of short stories. It is visited by hundreds of professionals: producers, film distributors, festival programme directors and TV stations representatives, who are interested in short film.

Films produced by the Andrzej Wajda School within the '30 minutes' programme also took part in last year's Short Film Corner: 'Aria Diva' by Agnieszka Smoczyńska and 'Jak to jest być moj± matk± [What It's Like To Be My Mother]' by Nora McGettigan and in 2007 – 'Trójka do wzięcia [Three for the Taking]' by Bartek Konopka and 'Podróż [The Journey]' by Dariusz Glazer.

Apart from the film by Nowakowski, also other films produced within the '30 minutes' programme will be presented at this year's fair in Cannes: 'Moja nowa droga [My New Way] by Basia Białow±s,  'Co mówi± lekarze [What the Doctors Say] by Michał Wnuk, 'Wszystkie małe kłamstwa Anny [Anna's All Little Lies]' by Krzysztof Bazio and 'Obcy VI [Alien VI]' by Borys Lankosz.

The goal of the '30 minutes' programme, which was established in 2005 on the initiative of Wojciech Marczewski, is to enable young filmmakers to make their feature film debut in professional conditions. The partners of the programme are: the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing, the Andrzej Munk Studio 'The Young and Film' within the SFP (the Polish Filmmakers Association, who was a partner of the programme on its own until 2008), the Polish Television and the Polish Film Institute.
