‘GETTING ON’ RECEIVED A MENTION
The film 'Getting On' ['Pogodna'] by Renata Gabryjelska produced by the Andrzej Wajda School received a mention at the Family Film Festival.
The Jury of the 2. Family Film Festival FOR 2009 in ŁódĽ awarded a mention to film 'Getting On' by Renata Gabryjelska and substantiated its choice by emphasising the 'unconventional way of showing what motivates us in life and what enriches the lives of others'.
'Getting On', produced by the Andrzej Wajda School, is a story about a complicated relationship between a mother and an unmarried daughter who still live together in a small flat. Running a dancing group for seniors seems to give their lives a meaning and compensates the lack of men in their lives. 'Pogodna' was also appreciated at this year's 'Young and Film' Festival in Koszalin, where it received the Mały Jantar 2009 prize for the best documentary film.
Renata Gabryjelska is a graduate of the Documentary Course and of the ‘?Development Lab’ Feature Film Course at the Andrzej Wajda Film School.
The Jury of the ŁódĽ festival awarded the first prize to Brygida Frosztęgi–Kmiecik for the film 'Obywatelka Dorota [Citizen Dorota]', Lidia Duda received the second prize for her film 'Bracia [The Brothers]' and two third prizes went to Tomasz Wolski (graduate of the Wajda School) for his 'Złota rybka [Goldfish]' and Daniel ¦wiatły for 'Kochaj mnie [Love Me]'.
